....If you don't stop and look around every once in a while, you could miss something." -Ferris Buhler. Those who have spent any amount of time with me can verify movie line come spewing out of my mouth all the time. With the absolutely lightening pace of the holidays and the crazy demanding schedule I've been living for the last little while it is VERY easy to miss something that is in front of me everyday. My little Sasha turned 7 months about a week ago. Her 7 month milestone was also the deadline at the lab for orders ready for Christmas. To celebrate both, as soon as I woke up on the 18th I set up to take this session for my little one. I have been planning this session for a very long time. One of my closest friends is a amazingly gifted knitter. Last year she Knitted my boys matching sweaters that were nothing shy of a work of art. So I also asked her to make this hat and scarf for Sasha. Boy did she deliver! It was so fun to stop and relax and enjoy such a fun stage of childhood. I absolutely love the sitting up stage... before a baby can crawl. This milestone also seems to make me feel like Sasha isn't just a baby, she has her own little personality in our family. When people ask me what ages should they photograph their children, I always tell them to think in terms of milestones. Newborn, holding head up, sitting up, standing, walking..... these are the things I want to remember. It doesn't matter what month to me. I just want to remember to stop and look around every once in a while so I don't miss something.
Thanks so much Cori- I love your magically knitting needles!
