When I see this image it makes me think of a baby from the heavens being handed down gently to earth.... a little cheesy even for me, but sometimes, I just can't help it.
I actually titled this post "Gifts from heaven" for two reasons. First, for the obvious reason, the beautiful baby girl. But more importantly, because the mother of this gorgeous baby is such a gift in MY life. As I have learned, I have certain natural talent for some things. One talent being the ability to NOT see the mess right in front of my face while cleaning the kitchen. I have another talent for sleeping just fine whether I have dishes in my sink or not.... (I would probably never sleep if it required an empty sink) I also have a talent for making sure my kids have clean socks but not requiring those socks to match each other. I know... pretty amazing talents.
One of the most important lessons I have learned is to surround myself with people who possess the talents and qualities I lack. This wonderful mother is gifted in so many of the things I am weak. I am so lucky that she shares her talents and strengths with me and basically all of you. I know I look like I do this whole business all by myself but the truth is I don't. I'll let the cat out of the bag and tell you that Jody puts in a lot of time working the digital production part of English Photography. When I was looking for someone to help me out, I wanted someone who could see and address all my weaknesses and hopefully still like me too. This is my personal thank you to Jody for being such a gift from heaven to me. I figured I should tell you all about her because I wanted all my clients to have a chance to thank the person behind the scenes. So go ahead and leave her a comment either about her beautiful baby or a thank you for working hard to make me look good.... because she does!
I think they say the definition of a true friend is someone who knows all your weaknesses and likes you anyway. Thanks for still liking me Jody..... or at least faking it :)
