I don't know about you but spring means growth, and I don't just think they mean flowers and treats. Spring means the winter hybernation is over and everything functions in a state of urgency. I think the rapid growth and demands of the season cause for a crash landing every night into bed still thinking of the 20 things I didn't get checked off the the to-do list..... actually, maybe that is just life, not just springtime. But as I went for a quick walk tonight, before the weather drops 30 degrees tomorrow, I was in ahhh once again to be watching the sunset in the mountains and enjoying the tiny little spring time changes that make my heart sing. Before walking a spent some quality time cleaning all the old dead stuff out of the garden finding the tiny bits of spring time green coming to life. The miracles of nature are as gentle as a flower but as unstoppable as the wind.
These little springtime babies came over to my house to have their portrait created. They are the youngest of 5 kids and I applaud mom for being so diligent with each child, she now has a complete set of matching Black & White baby portraits to enjoy forever. Traditional heirloom portraits are worth their weight in gold and this cute family has a very special treasure!
For the record, the above image did not involve any head swapping. These two sisters were really that happy at the same time. With twins it is always difficult to get matching expressions in the same moment but the magic happened here. Thanks S for sharing an afternoon with me. I absolutely loved these two little girls and their teeny tiny little bodies. Some day, when you finally get some quality sleep you will be able to look back at these little muchkins and marvel that, not only did you survived this phase, you did so with beauty, grace and class.
